Mihajlo Pupin Institute has done numerous
projects, including design, development,
manufacture, testing, and installation and putting into
operation numerous systems
for Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) for
electric power system
utilities. Most often the used hardware and software in
these projects were standard
products of Institute Mihajlo Pupin, Automation and Control
Systems Ltd., such as
SCADA software packages VIEW 6000 and VIEW 2, and hardware
equipment such
as ATLAS family of telemetry outstations and PLC devices,
although other equipment, both hardware and software of
other vendors was sometimes used and integrated into these
systems.
The list of realized SCADA projects is
quite long and it includes dispatching centers
of national, regional and sub regional importance, which
includes control centers for
monitoring and control of electrical power system operation
in regard of production,
transmission, exchange and distribution of electrical energy.
