| The fully digital D6000 Power Line Carrier
system, developed by Institute Mihailo Pupin on Ensico PLC
platform, is a versatile system designed for the transmission
of speech, data and protection signals over high-voltage power
lines. System combines robustness and transparency of analogue
equipment with the advantage of increased transmission capacity
provided by digitalization of the standard analogue channels.
Our offer includes range of solutions that
differ in HF output power and number of available channels.
For specific applications we are providing industry leading
maximum capacity of six 4 kHz channels that can be additionaly
merged and flexibly allocated in RF band.
D6000 meets all the requirements of the
IEC 60495 standard and can be semalessly integrated in the
existing PLC network, i.e. there is no need to change line
traps, coupling filters or frequency allocation scheme. This
modular, software programmable system utilises the latest
digital signal processing technology in implementation of
one-step modulation scheme, modem with high digital transmission
capacity and advanced low bit-rate speech coder.
Digital PLC system D6000 multiplexes compressed
speech and/or data in a single bit-stream, suitable for transmition
over 4 kHz bandwidth channel. Integrated modem allows for
flexible data rate and automatic rate adjustment.
Modular structure of multiplexer unit provides
different data and speech (telephone) interfaces:
• RS-232 asynchronous data interface
• four-wire PABX telephone interface
that supports E&M signalling
• remote subscriber interface
• point-to-point connection
interface (hot-line operation)
External version of multiplexer unit can
be also employed as a cost-effective solution for digitalization
and capacity increase of existing analogue PLC links.
