Public Enterprise ”Electric Power Industry of Serbia” and Public Enterprise “ Nikola Tesla” made a presentation of the capital repair project of Thermal Plant Nikola Tesla (TPNT) - block A2 in Obrenovac on December 9, 2005.

Modernization of thermal plant incorporated domestic know-how and was fully performed by Serbian companies including experts from Institute Mihailo Pupin and TPNT. The Institute got this project, after having successfully accomplished a similar task in Thermal Plant “Morava” last year when the new technology and knowledge was mastered and the team of experts in the Institute was formed. This put Institute Mihailo Pupin side by side with international companies producing and delivering such systems.

Modernization of TPNT includes automatic boiler and turbine control, and remote monitoring which enables operation staff to have a clear situation concerning real time system parameters. Reconstruction was performed at a competitive price and in a record time of 5 months.
