Mihailo Pupin is participating in Sixth EU Framework Programme project:
“Sava River Basin: Sustainable Use, Management and Protection of Resources”

The Sava River (945 km) is the biggest tributary to the Danube River. It extends over four countries: Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia and Montenegro.

Project scope:

• Scientific investigations of many aspects of the sustainable management of Sava River Basin

• Linking the knowledge of the river quality state and environmental and health risk with pressures and their driving forces to propose efficient and beneficiary actions and measures for protection.

Our participation in project:

This is third 6FP project in which Institute Pupin is taking part. Our responsibilities within this project are:

• Harmonization and integration of all collected and derived data and knowledge into expert information system in a GIS environment.

• Development of decision support tools for consideration of remediation actions for “hot spots”
