As a leading national research institution in the filed of ICT, Institute Mihailo Pupin is committed to generating, disseminating, and preserving knowledge. During the past six decades, our Institute gave many university professors and internationally recognized experts. Experienced researchers from Institute Mihailo Pupin take an active role in the educational process at University of Belgrade and universities around the world. IMP laboratories are open for students to advance their knowledge and get in touch with the latest technology by working on exciting real-world projects. We encourage students to carry out their diploma and master degree projects in the Institute. In fact, most of our researchers were recruited directly from university through internships, postgraduate projects, or doctoral studies.

Institute Mihailo Pupin is a full member of University of Belgrade, so it is not surprising that close relations with the university community are among the priorities for our organization. Majority of our Institute’s young researchers are attending postgraduate and doctoral studies at the University of Belgrade and in prominent world research centers. Our senior researchers and university professors regularly serve on the dissertation committees of doctoral students at the University of Belgrade and our plan is to introduce doctoral studies within Institute Mihailo Pupin in the next few years. These doctoral studies will give young researchers the opportunity to express their creativity and contribute to advancement of technology through application orientated research.

Institute Mihailo Pupin cooperates with numerous faculties, laboratories and institutes, but at this point we would like to emphasize a relation with Belgrade School of Electrical Engineering. Most of our engineers have graduated from School of Electrical Engineering and it is not uncommon to see that our top researchers go back to School to teach on graduate and postgraduate studies. We are actively cooperating with our colleagues from School of Electrical Engineering in application-orientated research for industry and in projects within framework of national research program.
