Institute Mihailo Pupin is organized as a holding company, with one mother company and seven daughter companies, which in fact operate as independent departments of the parent holding company. Each daughter company is partly independent and responsible for its policy (both, technical and financial), and partly integrated into a unified system (general policy, integral program defining, general marketing, etc.).

Institute “Mihailo Pupin” is a public, 100 % state owned company. Daughter companies are 100% owned by the Institute “Mihailo Pupin”, the mother company. Top governing body of Institute “Mihailo Pupin” is the Managing Board, appointed by the Government of Serbia - Ministry of Science & Environmental Protection, where 50% of the Board members are appointed from the Institute employees - members of the Scientific Board with PhD degrees.
